I'm not sure if you're aware, but there's a big election this week. I know, I know, it hasn't been talked about very much, so you might have forgotten about it... I don't even need to tell you that I'm kidding. There has been so much hype, emotion, and, unfortunately, ugliness surrounding this election, that I think we need to empower ourselves with some tools to use this week, so we can stay grounded and compassionate regardless of the outcome of the election.

I LOVE the rain. The feeling of it on my face; the sound of the rain on the roof; the sweet smell in the air. It gives us the perfect excuse to snuggle up inside our homes with a good book and revel in an introspective, quiet mood. We are entering the yin months — a time of darkness, cold weather, slowing down and hibernation — a time when we naturally need more rest, sleep, and quiet time.
